[Quy Nhon Beach Series #1] The Serene Northern Shore of the Golden Crescent Beach

The Serene Northern Shore of the Golden Crescent Beach

The Well-Paved Coastal Pathway

The northern beach promenade is beautifully paved and great for walking. Since the midday sun can be scorching, I highly recommend checking it out during the cooler hours of early morning or evening.

As you walk further up the promenade, you’ll catch a peaceful view of the quiet sea meeting the downtown skyline.

Then, the local fishing village on the opposite side comes into view as you approach the pier.
The village on the opposite side features a lighthouse and a statue of the famous Vietnamese general, Trần Hưng Đạo. While you can reach it by boat from the pier, sightseeing is highly restricted as it is a military-controlled zone.

This time, I’m sharing a view of the beach as rain clouds gather. Just like in life, we can’t always have clear, sunny days. Yet, the ocean on a cloudy day holds its own deep, heavy charm.

If you keep walking further up, you will eventually reach the pier. However, please note that you cannot access the pier directly from the beach promenade. You’ll need to loop back from the promenade, head out to the main road, and then walk up from there.
Although this pier leads to the fishing village on the opposite side, as mentioned earlier, it is a military-controlled zone, making sightseeing extremely restricted for foreigners.

The area around the pier is surprisingly well-maintained. There are benches to rest on, and you can easily find places nearby selling coffee and fresh juice.

Taking a walk along the serene pier, I take a seat on a bench to witness the awe-inspiring power of nature. Look closely out into the distance—can you see the storm unfolding right over the center of the ocean?
That storm is slowly starting to take over the downtown area. It’s time for me to get ready to make a run for it!

Fortunately, I made it out just in time. When it rains, I automatically start craving a hot, comforting soup—it’s a classic Korean thing!

Now, I’m catching a Grab to head over to a local restaurant I’ve been eyeing. I’ll wrap up this post here, but stay tuned as I continue to share everything you need to know about Quy Nhon!
