[Quy Nhon Beach Series #3] Quy Nhon After Dark: Sunset Vibes & Street Beats on Xuan Dieu

Golden Hour to Night Vibes

Evenings at Quy Nhon Beach are incredibly diverse. People spend their time in their own ways—some enjoying beach sports, others checking out street performances and festivals, or simply winding down by the shore.

Beach volleyball is highly popular among both men and women in Quy Nhon. It actually made me wonder if Vietnam is a powerhouse in beach volleyball. On top of that, you’ll see people playing football and enjoying a swim in the ocean.

Right in the heart of Xuan Dieu Street, there’s an outdoor performance area where you can catch live busking every single evening. As night falls, this entire strip gets packed with scooters, and the nearby local restaurants start overflowing with crowds.

At the same time, you’ll see plenty of people heading to the beach bars near the shore—snapping photos, catching up with friends, or just lounging back to soak in the laid-back vibe.

You’ll also spot people just sitting along the sea wall to catch a breeze, chilling right on the sand, or even setting up plastic tables to sing their hearts out with friends.

To top it all off, a massive festival kicked off while I was staying in Quy Nhon. Word has it that the city hosts only two major festivals a year. It runs for about 5 days, and the beach comes alive with giant kite-flying events and mini-gigs.

Over at Quy Nhon Square, they set up a mega stage for main performances, and on top of the regular night markets, huge pop-up night markets open up all over. Because of the festival fever, the town was packed not just with locals, but with tons of Vietnamese tourists too..

Quy Nhon Beach was way more relaxed yet dynamic than I ever imagined—it’s like a hidden playlist that starts with a peaceful, quiet melody and builds up into a joyful, high-energy beat. It’s uncrowded, yet absolutely bursting with happiness. I truly hope that as you stroll along the shores of Quy Nhon, you get to experience this pure joy and make unforgettable memories of your own.
