The Place I Will Cherish Most from My Quy Nhon Journey
Taking the left alley from the well three-way intersection—which you might recall from Part 2—leads to a beach of an entirely different charm. It was here that I discovered my very own corner of Quy Nhon.
It gently brought a smile to my face, gifted me a deep sense of rest, and allowed my mind to instantly settle into a quiet calm. Without a doubt, this is the place I will cherish most from my entire Quy Nhon journey.
Unlike the beach on the other side, this isn’t a place for swimming or kayaking. It’s a place where you simply walk, take a seat in the sanctuary of the space, and be entirely present with your emotions in the moment.
As you walk all the way down the left alley from the well three-way intersection, you’ll come out onto this seaside path, which leads directly to the spot I described above. The mountains, embracing the sea like a majestic folding screen, also leave quite a lasting impression.
Here, I simply rested. Whether this building was a community hall, a village shelter, or something else entirely, I do not know. I just sat there for a long time on a rustic stone curb under the shade of a tree, soothing my weary self and letting the sweat cool. The feeling I had then is impossible to explain. As the sweat dried, a gentle smile just found its way to my face.
This side of the beach also offers a view where fishing boats dot the sea, basket boats rest casually along the shore, and the distant skyline of downtown Quy Nhon lies low along the horizon.
And with that, I bring my journey through Bai Xep to a close. Bai Xep truly deserves to be called a hidden sanctuary; it remains largely untouched by crowds of tourists. Perhaps that is exactly why it allows you to fully immerse in a quiet moment of your own. I hope you, too, get to experience the deep, quiet resonance that this peaceful fishing village has to offer.
How to Get to Bai Xep (Quick Guide)
Google Maps Location: 📍 Click Here to View on Google Maps
Option 1: Taking a Grab (Easiest & Most Convenient)
Bai Xep is about 11 km from downtown Quy Nhon, which takes roughly 20 minutes.
GrabCar: ~150,000 VND (Approx. $6 USD) — Highly recommended if you hate melting in the heat
GrabBike: ~50,000 VND (Approx. $2 USD) — Perfect for solo adventurers.
Pro-Tip for Drop-off: Grab can sometimes get confused about the narrow alleys in the fishing village. Set your destination to “Heaven Vietnam“, or “Kim Dong Primary School – Bai Xep“.
Option 2: Renting a Scooter (For the Free Spirits)
Estimated Cost: ~120,000 VND per day (plus gas).
If you’re traveling solo, a GrabBike is actually just as cheap and you don’t have to worry about driving in Vietnamese traffic. But if you want to explore the coast on your own schedule, renting a scooter wins hands down. Choose your own adventure based on your travel style!
